Elvera Laanen
Member of the EFPIA Diabetes Platform and Government Affairs Manager, Novo Nordisk, Region Europe
Elvera Laanen is currently Government Affairs Manager, Region Europe, Novo Nordisk and since March member of the EFPIA Diabetes Platform, leading on Events and Communications. The Diabetes Platform aims to be an active partner in the fight against diabetes, improving the lives of those living with the disease. Recently the Diabetes Platform launched its white paper, presenting policy recommendations to the EU and Member States on three critical topics:
1. The role of data in improving outcomes
2. Self-management and the role of innovation
3. The organisation of care with a focus on integrated care and primary care.
During the period 09/2012 – 12/2017 she has had various functions in Novo Nordisk Global, Spain, Belgium, and at Europe level. She was responsible for, amongst others, development and launch of midterm strategy with a focus on health policy.
Education: Double MSc CEMS – International Management, graduated Cum Laude. RSM Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands & ESADE, Barcelona, Spain (08/2010 – 03/2012).
